Mission

The purpose of Hideaway Heidi offerings are to bring people together to practice mind-body-spirit arts; to immerse into the great nature of the planet, and to delve into our true nature within.

On the path of self-realization we increase flow in our lives, achieve more peak moments, and become more present to our inherent freedom and unity. Through knowing and living our essential unity (yoga), we care for the life that we are and all of life that we are connected to.

In this defining time on our planet, when the stability of many ecosystems and the whole are in great jeopardy, we take daily and strategic action to support effective biodiversity conservation and the sustainability of life as we know it.

It is not about going left or right, but going deeper so that we can be in alignment to follow our bliss and act on our highest values.

Hideaway?

A hideaway, or hiding away, allows us to temporarily leave our habitual roles; it invites us to dream a little bigger, play a little harder; it gives us extra space to feel, process, rest, and create.

Every child loves to build a secret fort for themselves; every person needs some open space and time for self discovery and reflection. When we emerge from these places, we're reinvigorated, more knowledgeable of ourselves, and less likely to conform to that which is not aligned to our true north. For many people, taking the time for deep introspection has an attached sense of discomfort to it. There's a sense of selfishness, non-productivity, and even defensiveness to diving into one’s psyche. Perhaps at one point in time we did so, but we lost touch with that part, overscheduled ourselves, over-gave to family and work, or just sealed ourselves off and relegated our attention to external pursuits, distractions and duties. I argue that taking time and space to traverse your inner landscapes and align yourself is actually what the world needs more of. While I don’t recommend making a lifestyle of hiding out, (unless of course, you actually are on the run :) find what works for you. Whether it’s sitting in contemplation, journaling, writing down your dreams, walking in the woods, practicing yoga, meditation, or what have you. Find a practice and a place, and keep that internal exploration consistent. Even if you can't find a quiet environment outside of you, the point is that you find a reliable way to get quiet on the inside. When we listen, feel, love and work with what is hidden within us, we give ourselves a shot at our own conscious evolution. This is a blessing to those around us and the world.

Vision

Through knowing our true nature and bringing that forward into the world, we create lives, communities, and cultures of Love, Peace, Wisdom and Joy.
